Surprisingly, new farming machines can come with tyres that don’t suit the use of the machine purpose, requiring the owner to also purchase new tyres. Once the right equipment is procured and used, wear and tear over time means only a partial set of tyres is eventually required. There is no local market place to buy or sell machinery equipment easily.

In framing our client’s design challenge, we asked:
1. How might our client build out a marketplace that could capitalise on the nexus of these problems?
2. How might their customers easily find, buy or sell equipment in their local area at low cost?

The Solution

Using customer centered design techniques, Build Me Stuff researched industry market data and developed customer personas, journey maps and defined minimum viable product of an online, multi-device marketplace where:
